We are blessed in Colorado to have an abundance of highland games and Celtic festivals. The one that begins our season every year is Colorado Tartan Day. Tartan Day is officially April 6 all around the world, and is dedicated to celebrating our Scottish heritage and educating the public about Scottish culture and traditions. In Colorado, we celebrate with a festival on the weekend closest to April 6, which this year is the 9th and 10th.

Our small festival has grown into a two-day event, featuring clans, music, demonstrations, food, drink, and of course, bagpipes. But the organizers have managed to keep the admission free. That’s right, no admission price to this very enjoyable festival.

The event has once again outgrown its facilities, and moved this year to the Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO 80501. Clan Thompson will be there and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this unique and enjoyable festival. SeeĀ http://coloradotartanday.com/ for more information.
